COMPLETE HEALTH AND FITNESS LTD (CHF) IS A FAMILY RUN BUSINESS  THAT OPENED ITS DOORS TO THE PUBLIC IN 2001. OUR FIRST PREMISES WERE BASED IN BOCKING, ESSEX.

After spending over 4 year in our Bocking premises it was time to move on. In March 2006 we made our first move to East Street, Braintree. At this site we were able to offer our members more in terms of equipment; we introduced studio classes, a ladies only gym and a crèche. Finally, in August 2014 we relocated a second time to Benfield Way, Braintree. The 3rd generation CHF is able to offer what we do today.

We are more than just a gym, we also have Pretty Perfect by Linds, Balanced Bodies Sports Massage, Bear Face Barber Shop and Amy’s Pet Supplies.

We believe that we cater for everyone whatever their fitness needs whether you are a competitive athlete or a sociable trainer we have something for you. From our well equipped freeweights area to our classes and everything in-between.

We pride ourselves on our customer service, our high quality of instructors and our affordability.

Hollie Redman

Gym Manager

I have worked at CHF from day one in Bocking over 20 years ago. I have been interested in sport and fitness for as long as I can remember, competing in many difference sports. My main passion is athletics and I competed from a very young age and have been ranked in the top 10 in the country quite a few times in the Discus event. This is were my love for strength and plyometric training came from.

I have a BA Hons degree in Physical Education and worked in Befordshire as a PE teacher when I had completed my degree. Circumstances changed and I left teaching in 2013 to pursue my fitness passion and I haven’t looked back.

At CHF you will find me teaching studio classes; BodyCombat, BodyPump, Les Mills Tone and HIIT sessions. As well as the odd Clock Circuit on the gym floor. I also do Personal Training; I love freeweights, TRX Suspension Training, HIIT Sessions and I am also qualified in Pre and Post Natal Exercise. You might also find me on reception, always feel free to grab me for a chat.

I enjoy seeing people push themselves to achieve things they never thought they could. Anything is possible with right mindset. I love fitness and I hope this shows to anyone who might meet me!

Rosie Barnes

I joined CHF as a member in August 2022 after discovering my love and passion for fitness.

You will find me at reception where I’ll be able to help you with anything you need and also give you some motivation and encouragement if you should need it. You’ll also see me training in the gym at any chance I get!

I am currently studying for my level 2 gym instructor and level 3 personal trainer course, I hope to be qualified in 2023.

Nicola Bartlett

I work on reception and I’m here to help you with any problems that you may have. I will always support and encourage you. You may also see me training in the gym as I like to do a mixture of cardio and weights, I also sometimes enjoy classes.

My next goal is to become a nutritionist and offer food plans. I then want to go on to become a homeopath as this is something that interests me.

Karen Trippett

I joined CHF in 2015. I had never been into fitness so I wasn’t expecting to last longer than a month. 7 years later and I’m still here and loving every moment. BodyCombat is my favourite class, but I also enjoy spinning and training in the Free-weights area.

I was lucky enough to be asked to join the CHF team in 2019. You will find me on reception where I get to meet and greet members and assist them if needed. I am always here to lend a friendly ear if need be, so please feel free to come and have a chat.

Outside of the gym, I have always been interested in photography and interior design.

Renaisse Fuller

I started working at CHF in March 2022 as an apprentice to get my Level 3 in Personal Training. I have been interested in sports and fitness for a very long time, and I’ve done so many sports it’s hard to count!

The reason I want to become a PT is that I can help people use fitness to improve their mental health, as sports (especially rugby) and the gym is pretty much my therapy.

I have qualifications in sports coaching and I’m currently a coach at Braintree Rugby Club, where I used to play but sadly had to give up. I am very thankful to be able to work and do my studies at such an amazing and welcoming place.

My hobbies and interests are:

Tom Bain

I joined CHF in march 2016 when I was 17 years old and I have had a keen interest in improving my physical and mental fitness ever since. I was lucky enough to have my sister’s boyfriend now husband show me the ropes and I soon got hooked on the feeling of self-improvement and progress. The gym has had a massively positive impact on my life and I hope to be a guide for others to help them improve their life too.

I have a level 2 Gym instructor qualification and I am currently in the process of completing my level 3 Personal trainer qualification.

Della Wood

I joined CHF as a member in 2006 as a member. After years of participating in classes I decided to step out of my comfort zone and become and instructor in 2012. CHF being the first of my classes to teach. You will now find me teaching Pilates, Spinning, MetaFit and Circuits.

I joined the CHF gym floor team in 2020, you will find me on reception as well as on the gym floor. I have also recently opened “Della’s Balanced Bodies” where I offer sports massage and injury treatment. This can be found in the treatment room at CHF, please grab one of my cards from reception or come and have a chat if you would like to arrange an appointment.

Siobhan Stapleton

I started at CHF as a gym instructor in 2018. In this time I have progressed my qualifications and studied to become and Personal Trainer.

You will see me on reception and around the gym. I also teach Clock Circuit classes. I am able to support you with your goals and help with your motivation, helping you achieve things you never thought you could.

My passion for health and fitness started many, many years ago as a coping mechanism during a turbulent time in my life and I have not looked back since. It completely helped me change my lifestyle and my mindset, allowing me to achieve many sporting achievements that I never thought possible.

Steve Axworthy

I joined CHF as a member in 2021. Through my experience in classes and within the gym environment I decided to make a career change and follow my fitness passion. I qualified as a Gym Instructor and Spin Class Instructor, then gained my Personal Trainer Qualification. My other passion is to help and support people with mental health issues and so therefore trained and qualified as a wellbeing coach.  

I was a keen competitive swimmer in my youth, but my focus moved into the gym in my late teens. My passion for running developed in my late 30s and have completed several marathons and ultra-marathons.  

I am currently qualified in the following areas: 

  • Personal Trainer 
  • Exercise to Music – Indoor Cycling 
  • Gym Instructor 
  • Wellbeing Coach 

My belief is that anybody can do anything with the right mindset but finding that mindset is the most difficult part. My focus as a Personal Trainer is to find and develop the right mindset to build a solid foundation so that you can be the best that you can be physically and mentally.

Daniel Bartlett

Gym Supervisor

I have been working in the fitness industry and been part of the CHF team since 2012. When I’m not working in the gym you will often see me training. I am a keen cyclist and regularly take part in charity rides. I have also completed the London to Paris bike ride. I also spent many years boxing at Halstead and used to teach boot-camps.

Here at CHF you will see me on the gym floor teaching circuits classes, in the studio teaching MetaFit, Boxercise and Jump, teaching spinning and also circuits in the outdoor gym. I’m always around and happy to help whenever I can.

I currently offer personal training and group training sessions, where I enjoy focusing on core stability, circuits, suspension training, boxing and function style training.

My qualifications include;
